Dry ice

Dry ice, sometimes referred to as "Cardice" or as "card ice" (chiefly British English), is the solid anatomy of carbon dioxide. It is acclimated primarily as a cooling agent. Its advantages accommodate lower temperature than that of baptize ice and not abrogation any balance (other than accidental frost from damp in the atmosphere). It is advantageous for attention arctic foods, ice cream, etc., area automated cooling is unavailable.

The acute algid makes the solid alarming to handle after aegis due to burns acquired by freezing (frostbite). While about nontoxic, the outgassing from it can account asphyxiation due to displacement of oxygen in bedfast locations.
